{First off, let me say that this picture is horrible but it was with my phone in a terribly lit room so don’t judge.}
Does anyone know what this is? It is POOP… in the crib! Let me explain to you what I have been dealing with lately and you can give me your thoughts.
It all started when I took Michael to my friend’s house and he got to run around the yard naked. There was a dog kiddie pool to play in, it was a beautiful day and I only had one diaper left in my bag. So I let the beast out of the cage and it was a glorious day for men everywhere!
Then Michael started taking his diaper off at nap time, oh boy. The first 3 times that he did it only resulted in 1 pee soaked crib. OK, I can deal with that!
A couple of mornings ago he woke up without his diaper on and had peed in the crib. Annoying but fine. Then he went down for his first nap and I went upstairs to get him after he had woken up just like any other day. As I got to the top of the stairs I started to smell poop. No big deal, that happens if he poops while sleeping or after he wakes up.
When I opened the door to his nursery I was struck with this wall of poop stench! I got close to the crib and saw that he was without a diaper and there were nuggets everywhere! Poop in his pile of clothes, poop on the floor, poop in his crib and poop all over his fingers. “Son of a …!”
Part of me wanted to leave it for Daddy Michael because he is such a pansy when it comes to poop but the better side of me knew that would be bad. See, I do have a voice in my head that knows right and wrong! The difference is that I choose not to listen to it.
How did you deal with this if you had a child who hated their diaper? It would probably help if I put pants on Michael so I guess I am going to try that first. My girlfriend, Tera, said that she would put duct tape on her daughter because she would take her diaper off as well. Help me out here!

I feel you pain!! My son was notorious for this too. To help fight it, I always dressed him in a onesie. I called it ‘putting him on lockdown’
Good luck! I hope onesies help!

I just started putting Michael on lockdown today. It is weird to see him with pants on.
