These recipes are long overdue but here it goes anyways! Did I mention that they aren’t mine and that I have the recipes pinned on Pinterest from Post? That’s OK because we all need a break from playing a mad scientist in the kitchen. Oy!
I actually worked a campaign for Post Cereal and Champions for Kids back in June and I was researching recipes made from theirs cereals. I ended up settling on these two. The ingredients on the left are for simple marshmallow treats and the ones on the right are for a peanut butter and chocolate bar treat. Both served their own purpose because the left was my breakfast and the right was my dessert; it works for me!
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cups peanut butter
- 2/3 cup syrup
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 3 cups Honey Bunches of Oats Cereal
- 4 squares semi-sweet chocolate, melted
Instructions
- Microwave the peanut butter, syrup and sugar in a bowl for 3 minutes. I stirred it every minute or so.
- In a large bowl mix the cereal and your melted items and make sure everything is coated well.
- Pour the mixture into a pan.
- Pour and spread the melted chocolate evenly over the cereal.
- Let it firm up and cut!
After melting the peanut butter, syrup and sugar together I mixed it into a bowl with the cereal. Stir, stir, stir because that is the hardest part since these are so stinkin’ easy! Put the mixture into a pan and pour your melted chocolate over the top. Now you just have to toss it in the fridge until it is hard and serve!
PS: I added sugar to the unsweetened chocolate because who eats unsweetened chocolate? My thoughts exactly!

I liked these because it had a little extra texture in it from the cereal. They were a very nice find if I do say so and I even took them to a party! A party that was outside in the scorching heat! That was a bit of a dessert fail but they still tasted great.

You have gotten to be crazy if you don’t know how to make marshmallow treats! I think that I am on a mission to make every sort of marshmallow treat known to man. These babies make for a delicious breakfast and are actually the only dessert that I won’t send to work with Michael. I am bizarre I know!
Ingredients
- 6 cups of Honey Bunches of Oats
- 3 tbls butter
- 10 oz of marshmallows
Instructions
- Melt the butter and mallows.
- Mix the cereal in.
- Spread in a pan and let cool.

These do look good and I am sure will come out cheaper than the ones from the store. That reminds me, I am way overdue on making cereal
