Do you remember me spilling my guts about the stress that has been consuming me? It’s time I dish about some of my healthy food for busy people options! Figuring out why I was stress eating made me realize it was time to stop worrying about finding the next great deal and just BUY IT because it was good for me. BUY IT because it was a healthy snack. BUY IT because I need to eat healthy food. Gone are the days where I say, “I don’t have time to eat healthy food.”
Oh-emm-Gee! If that video doesn’t throw me under the bus, I don’t know what will. That video is hard to stomach…
Ugh! I hate this picture almost as much as I hate that video. I weighed 138 before work stress, new baby stress, and the holidays hit. Now I am left with a mission to lose 10 pounds before May 3rd. In order to accomplish this feat I have ‘purged’ the cupboards of all most processed food. I needed to toss the foods temptations that are simple for me to eat while working. Goodbye sugar cereal and hello Tyson chicken!
I can do this! I will look fabulous in my cocktail dress!

Here are the healthy snacks I ran to Walmart for to replace my processed food with. Simple enough, right? I can munch on these snacks while tweeting, checking emails, and chasing after Godzilla.
Healthy food for busy people:
- Apples
- Oranges
- Bananas
- Broccoli
- Carrots (not pictured)
- Cheese
- Celery & peanut butter (not pictured)
- Lunch meat
- Ready to serve salad
- Tyson Grilled & Ready chicken
- Water bottles
Yep, that’s my healthy lunch! You can’t go wrong with a tasty, chicken salad and an orange! I’m proud to report that I have been to the gym twice this week (It’s Tuesday), and I am drinking enough water to fit the phrase ‘peeing like a racehorse’. No joke! I so am not in the position to laugh right now because the pressure is that intense.
Are you up for a challenge? I’m using you guys to be the kick in the rear every person needs to stay on track! Let’s do this thing and get me lookin’ fine in my cocktail dress!

Great information! I’m so guilty of being ‘too busy” for lunch or “too tired” for dinner in the evenings once I get home. I definitely need to do better and these easy options/suggestions are a great help! You’re going to look fantabulous in that cocktail dress!

Mmm.. I love chicken in my salads with lots of yummy fruits and veggies, nuts, and feta cheese! I’ve been maintaining my weight loss for about a year now, but I want to try and jump start it again to reach my goal. Good luck to you!

Yum! Looks like a winner… oh, you do, too!
I have joked with my husband that my first pregnancy I craved carbs (and swelled like, well… you know)… with my daughter I wanted sweets, but THIS baby? Salads… veggies, fruit, etc. Yum. Poor hubby thinks I am getting ready to give birth to a rabbit. I do want to try the Tyson choices to make my salads come together even quicker.
Yeah, the jiggle, the wiggle.. we all have it and it just creeps up on a girl!

Wow, that salad looks really great! I have a feeling that you would already look HOT in a cocktail dress, but I totally get the May 3rd deadline! (and by HOT, I totally mean stunning…because I’m not like “that”) But, yeah, the salad, YUM!! I love Tyson chicken and I usually find a lot of coupons or sales, too.

I am so in awe of you for posting a picture of your scale! I weigh the exact same amount… if I brace myself between walls in the bathroom so I’m not completely standing on the scale. LOL
Great list of foods. Have you tried those shiritaki noodles, too? They’re nice for days when I’m craving carbs but really shouldn’t have them.

Great ideas! I have a grilled chicken salad at least once a day whether it’s for lunch or dinner. Definitely fills me up and is super tasty and healthy. And I love that I can get so many veggies in at once.

That salad seriously looks soooo good! If I can have an apple instead of the orange I’d totally have lunch with you. Maybe I should bring a book to read during your bathroom breaks?
