I have a good excuse for being late with this Wine with Mallery, promise. This isn’t going to be a funny, or only funny to the Schuplins, Wine with Mallery. Today’s video is about 50 minutes long because it is the shortened version of my journey with Multiple Sclerosis. This is a true Whine Wine with Mallery video so be prepared. You can’t tell me that you didn’t realize it was called Whine with Mallery! 😉
Wine with Mallery cliff notes for those who can’t watch the video…
I know this video about Multiple Sclerosis is really long and not very funny, it’s still a good story if you are interested in the topic. Maybe I just think it is a good story because it is my story? Multiple Sclerosis has definitely developed me into the person I am today. I have become a lot more laid back and try my hardest not to get worked up over things that don’t matter. Be happy you wake up in the morning, you can walk, you can see and you can take care of your children. The biggest thing I have learned is not to take things for granted.
Topics in the video:
How my journey with Multiple Sclerosis started.
Who gets Multiple Sclerosis.
Symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis.
How I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
Treating Multiple Sclerosis with Tysabri.
Trader Joe’s 2010 Roccalta Sangiovese
This was a tasty red wine that I can see not being so tasty if you don’t decant it for a little while. One day you will stop drinking your red wine before you decant it! It is good enough that I can see myself pairing this wine with a pasta dish or just throwing it back on a random night. This Sangiovese is one heck of a deal at $3.99! It is a 13%, spicy nose wine! Yum!
I didn’t know you had MS. I seem to have some many people in my life that have it. I love the wine! It’s definitely a good way to celebrate!

That’s great that you can share about your MS. I love the hair band you’re wearing in the video btw. 😉 And I don’t know how to pronounce the name of the wine either. lol My husband and I love trying new wine though and at only $3.99 a bottle that’s a great price.

I got through a lot of the video. I still have more to watch but I just wanted to thank you for sharing your story. I actually know two close people to me with MS ( I just thought of another friends mom) and I don’t know if they are brave as you in posting. You are just adorable by the way too in the video. Sparkling personality! And a good glass of wine goes a long way!

Thanks for getting through what you have! I left out some of the more recent details to save everyone some time. I didn’t want to talk to myself for 1.5 hours. LOL!
Mal, I am thankful for you sharing this. I have only had a few patients with MS and i know it is such an intricate disease. Thank you for helping me to understand it better, so i can understand my patients better. I admire the fight in you. You have always been a strong figure in my mind.
May you kick MS’s Ass!
OK, it took me 3 tries to get through this (what? I have other stuff to do too…it was long) but it was worth coming back to. You know I PINK puffy heart love you already, and you know I AM emotional so I’ll contain myself so you can be the big bad beaver here. But you are brave my friend, and you deal with a lot at such a young age. I admire your bravery and I appreciate you sharing this. Someone will see this and know they need help, and they will know where to turn. You amaze me and I’m proud to call you my friend.
