This week I tried to pawn the garden responsibilities off to Michael and Izzie so I could make a stupid easy cucumber side dish. Too bad my plan didn’t work as well as I had hoped. I told the sitter to let the kids go get their VERY OWN cucumber <insert over enthusiasm> and that’s what they did. They each picked ONE cucumber. Pffft! Not really what I had in mind but whatever.
So I put on some shoes and proceeded to take my lazy rear out to the garden, in my old lady sweater and yoga pants, to pick the vegetables I had neglected the entire summer. In my defense, the garden is doing 100 times better than last year because last year it croaked without even a warning. It. Just. Died. Like all gone. No vegetables for you.

Apparently the only thing I am remotely good at growing is a cucumber. How the hell do I get 10+ cucumbers at once but I have my first tiny little wimp of a zucchini growing in August? I thought EVERYONE could grow zucchini! You guys, my carrots are even these deformed, half purple looking things. My garden is a hot mess, forcing me to get creative with my plentiful supply of cucumbers.
IDEAS FOR CUCUMBER RECIPES/DISHES

I just tested out my big girl Ozeri Green Earth Textured Ceramic Nonstick Frying Pan and OH EM GEE, dudes, it’s amazeballs! This frying pan is so nonstick, my omelette was like butter, no spatula required. We made omelettes for dinner earlier this week and I told Michael I was tossing this gerbage of a frying pan (the one on the left) because it kept wrecking my omelettes and I take noshing very seriously!
One day I will have big girl kitchen items, cook in my big girl kitchen, and write posts like a big girl. Until then, I dream of the day I grow up and join the army of big girls.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
