This Elmo tea party is brought to you by the letter M and Playskool, as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. #PLAYSKOOLCREW
Our Thanksgiving dinner has come and gone and let me tell ya… cooking with two kids yapping at your ankles is whatever you consider the absolute opposite of enjoyable.
What are you doin’? Can I eat the potatoes? What’s for dinner? I don’t want you to make green bean casserole. Can I have a cookie? Whyyyy didn’t you let me lick the spoon? (Tears) You ALWAYS let me lick the spoon!
While the other one comes close to pantsing you after his insistent mum-mums fail to get you to pick him up.
I don’t know why I thought the T.V. would distract them from all of the holiday commotion, but it didn’t, so I came up with this Elmo tea party for the next holiday. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
The Elmo theme sort of just fell in place because Michael is stuck on his Playskool Sesame Street Play All Day Elmo toy. There is so much Red Light Green Light and Hop and Count going on in our house that I sometimes forget he is battery operated.
Or is he????
Michael picked out every treat imaginable and helped Elmo eat his cookies. And no, ‘feed me cookies’ is not part of Elmo Says. The Playskool Sesame Street Play All Day Elmo toy has a plethora of cause and effect play, but I am almost positive eating isn’t programmed into his thinker.
That falls under a boy and his (at times very) vivid imagination.
From one parent to the next, don’t fill the teapot unless you enjoy party fouls. You never know when Elmo will fire up a game of Freeze Dance.
I lie.
You squeeze his nose to select the game. Ask me how I know this…
The Playskool Sesame Street Play All Day Elmo toy is rated for ages 18 months to 4 years, but I gotta tell ya… Maverick is giggling something fierce as he honks Elmo’s nose right meow. As in, right below my feet. Dare I say it doesn’t get any better than an adorable, talking, cuddly, entertaining friend for children of all ages? And for all of the grandparents out there, a toy that won’t drive mom and dad bonkers?
Go ahead, put him under the Christmas tree.
