Every batch made from scratch isn’t always the case in my household. I have no flippin’ idea when the baby snatcher broke into my house and swapped out my independent boy with this imma gonna scream if you even look at something work related terror. Oh how I adore naptime!
I have a secret to cope with the insanity that comes with having a child that hasn’t stopped since he was 9 months old. You think I’m exaggerating? This kid thinks falling off chairs and down flights of stairs are normal sports for toddlers. The toddler control secret you’ve all been waiting for is… FOOD! Now I’m not Aunt Jemima or anything, but I do know the way into a man’s heart is through his stomach.
Confession- I give Michael food he can feed to himself so I can get 10 minutes to check my emails. Just. Five. More. Minutes! What’s that? You need more food? Have the box and go eat!

He loves these oh so adorable pancakes so much that he thinks I’m the best mommy EVER when he gets them. What am I going to do when he gets older and wises up? I imagine the conversation will go a lot like this.
Him- What do you mean you don’t slave away in the kitchen so my pancakes are made from scratch?
Me- How many hands do I have, sweetie? These pancakes really are made from scratch!
Him- Don’t lie! I watched you take them out of the freezer!
Me- Sigh.
How does one explain to him the pancakes I pulled from the freezer have real ingredients like eggs, milk, and sugar in them? *Sigh* Until that argument comes about I will save myself a disaster of a kitchen and time I don’t have in the first place!
