Did you check out the retro looking cupcakes that I made for Michael’s first birthday last week? Well I told you that this recipe doubled as some cake batter Rice Krispies treats so here is me delivering on that promise! They were so much better than the yellow cake batter treats that I made; YUM!
I am pretty sure you guys all know how to make Rice Krispies treats but here is the super simple recipe for a reminder.
Funfetti Rice Krispies Treats
Ingredients
- 6 cups Rice Krispies
- 10 oz of marshmallows
- 3 tbls of butter
- 1/3 cup funfetti cake batter
Instructions
- Melt your butter, marshmallows and cake mix in a pan.
- Once melted add in the Rice Krispies and mix together.
- Put the mixture into a pan to set and cut into squares when they have cooled.

Look at those beauties! I hope that you love these treats as much as I do. I honestly eat them for breakfast if I make them and it is the one thing that Michael is not allowed to take to work! I like the funfetti better than the yellow cake batter because they are sweeter. The yellow cake ones had a subtle taste but you could really tell that these had something special in them!
