I try my hardest to find gluten free snacks to eat during trips. Honest. Putting me in an airport when I’m hungry and telling me not to indulge in sodium and sugar is like telling a toddler it’s nap time and he can’t sleep with his babies. Meltdown mode. You will find my previous eating habits perched on one shoulder whispering sweet nothings in my ear and my logical brain on the other telling me what a bad girl I’m being. Too bad for my brain I like to be naughty. Very naughty when the mood strikes. (Ask Michael.)
My flight to BlogHer was a little different. I was surprised with the most amazing birthday gift that left me wondering what gluten free snacks I could get through the security check point because most of the food I would consume after I landed would consist of wine or cupcakes. At least I was hoping that would be the case.

I kid you not, Simply Snackin’ wanted to send me some of their gluten free snacks, as well as some regular snacks, and they arrived right before I left for BlogHer! Challenge accepted!
Why do we, as bloggers, volunteer to review things that might taste like poo, burn our lashes off, or make our face break out in hives? What is wrong with our heads to think it is ok to do that to ourselves? It’s a good thing Simply Snackin’ delivered because I was on a teeny tiny plane, without water, without any other food options. I could have very well joined the mile high club by accident because I didn’t plan on my gluten free snacks being gross.
Amateur move, I know.
DOES SIMPLY SNACKIN’ MAKE A GOOD GLUTEN FREE SNACK?
Oh holy hell were they good! So good. I tried the Italian Chicken Breast with romano cheese on the plane and as I ripped the package open I peeked over my shoulder to make sure the vultures were still sitting in their seats because the flight attendant wasn’t feeding us. The glorious aroma swirled through the air much like the burps of the person sitting near me on my flight home.
And what conference would be complete without a quote from one of my besties?
