MANWICH CHEESE DIP

Football party idea- slow cooker Manwich cheese dip

I grew up eating a stupid simple cheese dip recipe that, for some reason, is called engineer dip. Don’t ask me how it got the name engineer dip because I have no flippin’ clue.  I mean, it would make sense if our family was chockful of engineers, or this recipe required a ton of engineering. But it isn’t, and it doesn’t.

I guess some questions are better left unanswered.

Easy football party food- slow cooker Manwich cheese dip ingredients

MANWICH CHEESE DIP INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Block of Velveeta
  • 16oz salsa
  • 1 can of Manwich Bold
  • 2lbs of Beef

Now prepare your noodle for a bit of mind blowing, mmmkay? I find this cheese dip to be a great party food because of how prep friendly it is. All you have to do is cook the beef before tossing everything into your slow cooker.

Wham. Bam. Thank you, ma’am!

Wasn’t that sort of amazing? Wait. Did I forget to mention you can prep it the day before? You totally can!

Note- This is a dense cheese dip because it’s full of cheese, cheese, and more cheese. You have to really love cheese for this recipe to work. Before I led a paleo lifestyle, shoooot… dinner would look like a big bowl of cheesy goodness. (The original version.)

Manwich cheese dip requires about 2 pounds of beef

But enough about this recipe, the real star of this post should be about this gadget. I love gadgets so flippin’ much. It might not buzz. It might not jolt my body into a passionate frenzy. But where it lacks in feel good features, it is so gosh darn practical! Why did it take 26 years for me to get a food scale? Why do I live under such a heavy rock?

Why am I so random?

I can explain. You see, I wanted to tell you about my new food scale obsession but I can’t write about a food scale without food.

Food. Scale. Duh!

And I can’t write about food without making it Pinterest friendly because Pinterest runs the show. The fact that I am a dirty Pinterest traffic whore is the reason this recipe exists. Traffic whore all day, everyday.

Sorry, not sorry.
