I am a member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community. This peanut butter banana smoothie has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for Collective Bias and its advertiser. What can I say? Getting paid to increase my natural probiotics does a body gooood!

We all have indulgences, guilty pleasures, a go to comfort food for those moments when life has dealt us a soul crushing hand. While indulging on occasion is more than okay, my ba-donk-a-donk doesn’t need any assistance in the shake whatcha mama gave ya department. Are you asking yourself what the heck natural probiotics have to do with emotional eating?
Let me explain.
I love Tropical Smoothie more than I love watching my toddler squeal over Marshall from Paw Patrol ‘liking’ his Instagram picture. And trust me when I say, his fanboy was the equivalent of how I would react if Brandon Boyd asked for my hand in marriage. *Swoon*
I love my treatment day splurge but, umm… I found out there is Turbinado Sugar in it! Something I once thought was an acceptable paleo cheat has a less refined sugar in it! Please give me a moment as I mourn the loss of my companion, my treatment day comfort, my yummy dose of probiotics.
…
And now, let’s give said companion a healthy makeover without forfeiting my natural probiotic comfort food!

PEANUT BUTTER BANANA SMOOTHIE INGREDIENTS
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2c organic yogurt
- 1/4c organic peanut butter
- **Crushed ice to reach your desired consistency.
And get this… you simply blend the ingredients until they are all mushed together. Yanno, because mushed together is about as technical as I like to get around this joint.
Why bananas?
Bananas contain prebiotics.
Why yogurt?
Yogurt contains probiotics.
PRE + PRO = DIGESTIVE SYSTEM BALANCE
Narly concept, right?

Now I know what motherhood looks like. I happen to be well versed in the game of ‘keep your yoga pants up as your 42 pound toddler tries to climb up your backside’. And let’s not forget that I am aware that as soon as I pull out the blender, Michael will poke his head in the cupboard full of ‘mommy juice’ glasses and make me regret even thinking about getting my health on from scratch. (Why do you think I loved Tropical Smoothie so much?)
Soooo… when life hands you poopy diapers, run to the nearest Meijer and buy a natural probiotic in the form of a pill!
(Meijer > Walmart)

And since we are already on the topic of poop, you guys do know WHY taking a probiotic is good, right? Please say yes so I don’t get the ‘that’s not very ladylike’ talk because I put food and poop into one post. I’m trying SUPER hard to be a lady this time around!

Insync is a gradual release probiotic supplement that isn’t so massive that it gets lodged in your throat like the pesky prenatals we are forced to swallow as soon the magic stick tells us it’s time. I can’t tell you how many times I have popped open the bottle of a new vitamins to find out I need lube to get it down my pipe. Big pills are no bueno!
