You know how I roll, I threw together an Xbox party in honor of Forza Motorsport 5 coming out, as part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias®. Why not, right? I can’t help but celebrate the union of the almighty snack and video games! I’m a huge closet nerd who avoids any area at a store selling games because Michael would divorce me if I jumped back into the role playing. There’s enough role playing goin’ on up in here as it is!
Anywho…

I’m not sure if you live under a rock or not but the Xbox One was recently unveiled and has become a bit of a ‘thing’. I’m not even joking! My Facebook feed had multiple updates today from people saying XYZ store had the newest toy in stock. I can’t make this stuff up, man!
So yeah, it’s time to get down housewife style! Don’t play like you’re surprised because I know this isn’t surprising to anybody who actually reads my train wreck of a site!

It’s been so long that I have no idea how many years ago my mom has been putting our favorite candy in our stockings. I get a certain fancy delight from Macy’s. My mom lives for Peanut M&M’s. Michael, well… it doesn’t really matter because he eats everything. You should have heard him the first time I asked him to name his favorite candy.
“Wah, wah, what do you mean I have to pick ONE favorite candy?”
What can I say? I guess I’m conditioned to create goody bags (pictured above) full of M&M’s to keep my madre satisfied with the leftovers?

These cookies are extra special, if ya know what I mean.
Kidding.
But for real, I had this idea to create circle cookies (like the buttons on an Xbox controller) with frosting, then top them with coordinating sprinkles. Yanno, because I twitch somethin’ fierce if the tiniest details are out of place.
Abouuuut the twitching. One day I should probably deal with my party madness. Or not because I like my crazy parties.
Moving on with the Xbox party…
Psst… the recipe for my Peanut M&M sugar cookies is coming in a few hours!

Did you guys know there is a LIME green gel on the market? I think I was meant to scour the baking section in Walmart the day I went to buy the game. You know, just in case there was something new I needed for my multi-cupboard collection of party stuff.
Nope. No party planning problem here.

Oh! I should mention the $10 Walmart egift card if you make a purchase from Walmart like the one in my picture above.
Buy, Snap, Redeem details
- Buy Forza Motorsport 5.
- Buy $8 of participating M&M’s products.
- Snap a photo of qualifying items on the receipt on your phone and text it to 811811. Include the code M&M with the picture of your receipt. Game and M&M’s must be purchased on the same receipt.
- Redeem: You will receive a text back with a reward code valid for a $10 eGift card to Walmart.

And since paper straws are also all the rage right now, I found the lime green straws at Target and Joann Fabric. I then found the shorter, black paper straws in the baking aisle of Walmart.

And since it’s Christmas time right now, I picked these lime, sparkle ornaments at Big Lots for a meager $4. This party truly was a breeze to throw together! Now if someone would just buy me an Xbox One, my own copy of Forza Motorsport 5, and some M&M’s.
Hmmm… Who to beg? Who to beg?
DO A GIRL A FAVOR AND PIN THIS XBOX PARTY COLLAGE!

Psst… Create M&M’s Pixel Art for a chance to win an Xbox One and more!
